Food Sector - Multinational Food Company

SouthWestern enjoys providing a number of services to the largest companies in the food sector in Ireland including high volume printing and postage, customer services, billing, accounts payable and human resource services (including payroll).

SouthWestern process the multinational Accounts Payable invoices for this leading client in the food sector. This involves central receipt of invoices, input to account payable system, matching to purchasing (ERP) systems, identification and management of non-match items and reporting for accounting and payment purposes. SouthWestern also use invoice imaging and indexing systems to provide a record to the client, and remove over 250,000 paper documents from the client operation each year. In addition to Accounts Payable, we also provide graduate recruitment support (see Human Resource Outsourcing) and Customer Services.

Now a customer for many years, SouthWestern commenced this service at the start of shared service implementation in the client organisation. We worked with the client in developing the shared services project plan and on the Statement of Requirements (SOR) for the client purchasing systems, thus integrating the SouthWestern imaging solution. As a result of this project plan, the client was in a position to standardise and centralise shared services on a site-by-site basis, over a two-year period. SouthWestern also worked with the client in “rolling in” each site to the SouthWestern service over this period.

SouthWestern have achieved high levels of productivity using our integrated solution, thus significantly reducing the clients processing costs. In addition the contract is delivered in a dedicated area with dedicated resources, thus ensuring client confidentiality and security of information. The client has, in this instance, retained the payment process, ensuring continued fiscal control.
