This, combined with our experience in banking, food, health, insurance, media and public sectors, have enabled us to deliver excellence in insurance claims processing, animal traceability and green energy awareness.
Many of our contracts are operated across multiple industries and we are experts in compliance management for these sectors.
Knowledge Reporting
At SouthWestern, we practice Knowledge Reporting - a solution for current and future problems. It is a based on the technique of Knowledge Browsing which combines intuitive usage with Visual Data Mining and a Lean Data Warehouse. Visual Data Mining is the visual recognition of conspicuous patterns in data naturally done by humans for the extraction of knowledge and insights. A Lean Data Warehouse is a condensed database for decision support, reducing the size and costs of conventional Data Warehouses as well as their project duration. This leads to fast and efficient deployment of conventional Data Warehouses and an optimised design to fulfil the decision maker’s goals and interests.
Claims Management
A core competency of SouthWestern is or ability to deal with both straight forward and more in-depth information exchanges through post, fax, email and telephone, one such service is Claims Management. On average we handle 130,000 calls and process 364,000 claims documents per annum. The value of these claims amounted to €181 million in 2008. We issue over 450 legal notices and over 400 reminder letters to respondents every week and schedule appointments for claimants nationwide. Our process design and technology mix allow smooth and effective service to be delivered consistently.
Green Energy
SouthWestern has a rich heritage in the sustainable energy sector with a well proven capacity to deliver and develop national services in this rapidly developing sector - most notably for almost 15 years we have successfully managed the information office for a national energy agency.
Southwestern has acquired unrivalled expertise and knowledge in the whole renewable energy sphere. This expertise spans areas as diverse as wind energy, biomass, combined heat and power, bio-energy, solar energy and low energy buildings. We have developed a variety of strengths that we believe position us as a market leader in this sector, in particular we provide a strong strategic focus and commercial know how, and have gained exceptional national and international recognition that ensures the highest level of market and industry confidence. The ability to respond to the diverse needs of the market place and the capacity to build and develop strategic alliances and partnerships was recognised by the European Commission in awarding the national energy agency information office team the highly coveted ‘The Best National Renewable Energy Partnership in the EU.’
Supply Chain
We handle all aspects of the supply chain from wholesalers to retailers. For a large media client of ours, we manage the circulation of newspapers for many of the nation’s newspapers involving in excess of 250,000 inbound queries from multiple sources including our client’s retailers and distributors. We have introduced many improvements in our clients supply chain processes including a new SMS text initiative which reduced time lag and cost of communications.
Auditing & Inspection
We currently carry out auditing services across both public and private sector organisations. We handle all aspects of auditing services for our clients from scheduling the audit task to reporting our detailed findings. SouthWestern have field auditors based in each of the 26 counties conducting audits and have a further auditing services office based team conducting phone based audits and processing audit results from the field auditors and preparing reports. In 2008 we carried out:
- 22,000 beef farm audits for a public sector organisation.
- 5,000 lamb farm audits for a public sector organisation.
- 364 catering, hotel & restaurant audits for a public sector organisation.
- 55,000 customer audits for a large national financial institution.
- 13,000 retail liaison audits for a variety of FMCG food businesses.
Mystery Shopping
We conduct mystery shopping services to measure quality of retail service or gather specific information about products and services on behalf of our clients. Mystery shoppers posing as normal customers perform specific tasks such as purchasing a product, asking questions, registering complaints or behaving in a certain way - and then provide detailed reports or feedback about their experiences.
